goodbye, Missy
I felt like an idiot, turning on the porch light to check and see if she was ready to come back inside last night. I had taken her into the vet yesterday morning before work, and was given the horrible news. She was tiny, and weak, and it seemed to happen so 'all-of-a-sudden', and the vet had an awful look on his face when he came back with her test results. All I could do was cradle her and pet her and thank her for coming to stay with us for a few years, and the drugs went into her and just as quickly, she was gone. Missy Hazel, we never knew where you came from, or how you found us, but you were a good little cat. I miss you already. Goodbye.

I'm sorry Cami :(
Awww, I hate losing kitties :(
*big hugs*
I'm so sorry. Losing a pet is always so hard. Not just for the kids either. I hope everyone is taking it okay. That just sucks :(
The hardest part of losing a pet, for me, is how routine keeps on bringing the pain back. It was months before I stopped seeing my dog's white chest patch outside the glass patio door when it was really just a flowerpot.
Don't feel stupid for not being able to stop trying to take care of Missy right away. You'll probably check for her on the porch quite a few more times before it fully sinks in.
Best of luck and big hugs, Cami.
Oh Cami, I'm sorry. Sending you slobbery dog kisses to help you through. g
So sorry. It's always so hard. We just have a hole where all that love sat & filled us every day. But you were good & responsible & you cared for her all the way to the end, so gently, so peaceful and humane, would that we could all just go to sleep. Sigh. :hugs:
awwww....its so hard to lose a pet....we've gone thru so many and each one was/is special
Last summer I lost one of my cats, she was great, everyone loved her. She died peacefully but totally unexcpectedly in her sleep next to me in bed. I still cry periodically, it's so hard. I send lots of hugs your way.
