Here's something you don't see everyday...

... unless you, too, confounded your plumber by insisting on extra "waterworks" in the bathroom. When I say that I never get a moment alone, I truly mean it, and today decided to show you all what happens at Becher Haus the moment my bum touches the seat...

A largish cat, of the Siamese persuasion, (obtained free at a local grocery store, no less) throws herself at the door hard enough to jump the latch free from it's moorings. Once inside the bathroom, she races and leaps (nearly toppling herself face-first into my lap) onto the bidet, then implores me, as loudly as ever a Siamese could, to puhleeese turn on the tap. That done, she will then continue to slurp out of the 'spigot' for as long as I will let the water run, and she pays no mind if I'm naughty to her and turn the water up to soak her.

Normally I would not bother to show you this, as knitting/crafty blogs are deadly dull when they become all about the pe(s)ts that run the show, but I'm putting these pics up for my mom and aunt today, as proof that the time-honored tradition of composing yourself, alone, in the bathroom does not apply in this household...

There you have it; one slightly fuzzy, wet-chinned, and out-of-focus tyrant. Isn't she fabulous?

My cat is similar with the sink. If I'm trying to have a private moment, she'll scratch and meow outside the door until my son gets annoyed and lets her in. Then she wants the sink on for a drink. We call her "pretty kitty wet head" at that point. Not really sure why anymore.

"Boris" aka my wonderful spouse, has been playing and now has his OWN blog... where I wish he'd STAY... he eradicated my profile, and made a general mess of this blog. Must change password. Cami out.

LOL!! Boris has cracked me up. Poop Lasagna? Yum. Change your password, and quick.

Also, I have a cat that looks a LOT like yours and she has a bathroom fetish too. She must be at your feet and purring as you're on the loo, and then again as you get out of the shower. Must be the siamese insanity virus or something.

Also also (ahem, sorry Cami), a big hi to Dragonfly! You didn't leave an email or blog addy, so I'm using Cami's comments. Sorry! And HI!

Hey, I'm so happy to have y'all stopping by... mix and mingle at will. I left a comment then had to delete it because Blogger had me signed in as 'Boris', so not only did it sound stupid, it made Bill seem a bit light in his loafers, not that I mind, but he probably would've needed some time to recover.

Isn't it funny, how cats with even a smidge of Siamese in their blood totally defy the 'cats hate water rule'... weird, but VERY entertaining.

btw, the legalese should be sorted out TODAY, so if/when I get the keys, I'll let you know. If all goes well the addy is 66 S.Water St. (do you see it? stick an e in there and it spells sweater...cool, heh?) Cami

Cami, that's great on the legal stuff, I hope it all goes well!

Hi Lotusknits! No blog of my own, although maybe I should have one.

I Have The KEYS to the store... sorry for yell-typing like that. It's been a pretty busy day, getting the storefront lease (exactly the way I wanted it) and the 'Dream in Color' yarns came today. I have all 24 colors in the smooshy, and the six colors in the worsted weight. Hell, people, I'm practically open for business! Cami, who is disgustingly happy at this very moment.

Hee, cute kitty! Last night, like most nights in fact, I had to brush my teeth around our one kitty. He likes to lick up all the water droplets in the sink, and then gets in the way. Kitties crack me up.
